Max W. Schmidt-Bishop, PhB'32, a former ambassador to Thailand, died November 17, 1994, in Ailey, GA. He was 86. He spent his career with the Department of State, holding diplomatic and military posts throughout Asia. He retired in 1961, having received the Medal of Freedom and a presidential certificate of merit. He is survived by his wife, Jessie; a son; three daughters; and a brother.

An interesting... Mausoleum...?

Located at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette, AR.
 When I first seen this I thought it was a workers shed. Then I realized it housed four graves.

Wow...a really bad correction

Located at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette, AR.
If you look close you can see two names Evelyn & Warren.  You can also see to birth dates 1888 & 1910.
Personally I think the monument company could have done a much better job of this corresction.

So Sad...

I came across this marker at Bethel Cemetery in Gravette, AR.  Nothing unusual about it just a standard obelisk.  It's the inscription that caught my eye. So sad how many women died trying to have children back then.
