Sunday Styles: Box tombs

Box tomb -- A structure resembling a rectangular box, with a flat top designed to hold a ledger stone and placed over an in-ground burial. Box tombs were usually built of brick or the local stone, although some were

constructed of marble. Occasionally, a box tomb can be found in the shape of a coffin.  Another term occasionally used for this structure is chest tomb.

More Flowers Please.

I am used to seeing lots of flowers on new graves. But this grave is two years old.  So I was surprised to see the family has kept it decorated but still have not placed a headstone one it.
